CutBench
Cut plans. Less waste.
Published by Mubarak Almahmeed under the MubarakLab brand.
Plan the parts. Keep track of the pieces.
Turn a part list and measured material into clear cutting plans on iPhone. Compare independently verified sheet and board plans, reserve real stock, and keep a record of what you actually cut.
Preparing for release
For iPhone with iOS 26 or later. Planned US launch price: $24.99, paid upfront, with all features included. No subscriptions, in-app purchases, trial, advertising or CutBench account.
Release availability and final storefront prices will be shown on the App Store when the app is released.
From a part list to workshop progress
- Enter the job. Add parts, quantities and explicit material and thickness. Work in millimetres or inches and fractions while preserving exact entered dimensions.
- Choose measured stock. Select individual sheets, boards or kept offcuts. Include kerf, edge trims, grain direction and permitted rotation.
- Compare and save. Inspect verified alternatives and save an immutable plan snapshot. Proposed purchases and purchase cash stay separate from owned material and its recorded inventory value.
- Record actual work. Reserve the sources, confirm cuts only after they happen, and enter measured results. Keep usable offcuts explicitly and replan unfinished work against actual uncut material.
A job supports up to 200 expanded parts and 100 selected sources, including purchase candidates. Larger jobs can be organized into smaller projects; these limits do not require an upgrade.
Geometry you can inspect
Plan rectangular guillotine sheet partitions and straight cuts on boards with fixed cross sections. Every complete candidate is checked independently against the entered dimensions and constraints. Display rounding never changes stored dimensions or makes a part fit.
The search is bounded. A verified plan is a feasible result, not proof of minimum waste or optimality; a search that finds no plan does not prove impossibility. Sheet area and linear length remain separate.
Drawings are schematic, not full-size cutting templates. CutBench does not control machinery or certify machine setup, furniture strength or safe workholding. Check physical measurements and follow your equipment’s instructions.
Your workshop, on your iPhone
Projects, stock and calculations work locally without a CutBench account, developer backend, external AI, ads or tracking. Keep optional stock photographs and locations with each piece’s unique identity.
Prepare native plan PDFs, public CSV part lists, selected recorded-history CSV and identity labels. You choose the share, print or file destination. Public exports omit designated private fields; a private workspace backup includes notes, locations, prices and photographs.
Restored or CSV-imported stock starts Unverified. Reconcile physical identity and measurements before using it as available material. Reinstalling the app alone does not promise recovery of workshop records.
