CutBench — Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 1, 2026

CutBench is an iPhone app published by Mubarak Almahmeed under the MubarakLab brand. This policy describes the data handled by the app and the destinations you choose.

Workshop records stay local

CutBench stores saved projects, dimensions, material and stock identities, prices, cut history, notes, optional photographs, preferences, navigation and editor drafts locally on your device. It has no CutBench account, developer backend, external AI, advertising, tracking SDK or automatic developer-operated cloud synchronization.

Camera, Photos, Files and QR labels

Optional camera access lets you attach a stock photograph or read an opaque CutBench label. System Photos and Files selection accesses content you choose. Manual fields and local record selection remain available. Photographs are not used to infer dimensions or grain.

Stored photograph copies are normalized and reencoded locally without EXIF, GPS or provider metadata. A scanned label looks up a local piece identity. Lookup does not authorize a cut, change stock or open an arbitrary URL.

Public exports and printing

Plan PDFs, public CSV and labels omit designated private notes, stock locations, photo metadata and provider paths. Public names and notes you entered may appear; selected costs can appear in a PDF. Optional recorded physical history includes identities, times and measurements while omitting private event notes.

Exports are prepared locally. You choose whether to share, print or save them and select the destination. Review the preview and included fields before sharing.

Private backups and destinations you choose

A private .cutbench backup includes saved workshop records, private notes, locations, prices, photographs and physical history. It is not encrypted by CutBench. Choose a destination and protect the file accordingly.

The logical backup does not include unsaved editor drafts or the original workshop’s local pending-cut recovery marker. Resolve unsaved physical cuts in the original workshop. Restored stock remains Unverified until physical identity reconciliation.

Files saved to a selected cloud drive or shared through another app follow that destination’s policies. Operating-system backup services follow your device settings. These services may keep copies outside the device even though CutBench has no developer-operated sync service.

Managing local data

Archive, Trash and permanent disposal preserve stock identity and consumption trails required by retained records. Deleting a record does not turn a consumed piece into available material.

Explicit storage cleanup can remove unreferenced photograph files and derived thumbnails. Referenced assets and active review or export files are protected during that cleanup. Deleting the app removes local app data unless the operating system or a saved backup provides recovery. CutBench makes no additional encryption or file-protection guarantee.

Purchases, website links and support

Apple processes the upfront app purchase. CutBench has no payment form or in-app purchase entitlement service.

The app does not silently send support diagnostics. Opening a configured support website, privacy policy or email destination requires your explicit action. A browser or email service may receive normal connection or message information under its own policies.

If you email support, the publisher receives the message and any information or attachments you choose to send. Support messages and attachments are retained for 90 days. Review attachments first, especially private backups. For privacy questions or requests about information you have sent, contact almahmeed.dev@gmail.com.
