Memory Magazine Support

Help with your photos, pages and saved copies.

Last updated: 27 September 2026

Make your first magazine

  1. In Library, choose New. Choose still images from Photos or Files, then add your own title and story words.
  2. Review the guided five-page story and its photo choices before building it. You can return to the setup without replacing the words you entered.
  3. Open a page to edit its text, layout, photos and layers. Use numeric controls or the block list when precise touch gestures are difficult.
  4. Choose Read to browse the result. Reading options include Accessible reading for text and the image descriptions you supplied.

You can also choose Explore a sample, then Save an editable copy, to try the editor without importing personal photos.

My photo did not import

A selected cloud photo or file may need to download first. Check your provider and connection, then retry the failed item or remove it from the batch. Successful owned imports are kept. Choose supported still images; audio and video are not imported.

Memory Magazine imports optimized copies and leaves originals unchanged. The app is not a replacement for a full-resolution photo archive.

Save and export

Editing saves to the local library. If a save error appears, keep the app and its files in place and use the offered retry or recovery controls. A visible save error means you should not assume the latest changes are safely stored.

  1. Open Export and choose PDF, PNG or JPEG plus the desired pages and options.
  2. Choose Check export. Missing content and text that does not fit must be resolved before rendering. Low-resolution warnings describe the selected output size.
  3. Choose Render validated files, then preview the actual generated files.
  4. Choose Save to Files and finish the system save sheet, or explicitly choose a sharing destination. Closing a sheet does not mean a file was saved or delivered.

PDF artwork fits A5, A4 or US Letter within 12 mm margins. PNG and JPEG use the selected 1080 × 1350 or 2160 × 2700 dimensions. A cover companion or empty reading companion is never an extra exported page.

Why is text blocking export?

The app keeps all your words. Enlarge or move the text block, choose a layout with enough room, or edit the text yourself. The app does not silently shorten or shrink your writing to pass a check.

An earlier output is marked unavailable

Saved output is checked before reuse. An unreadable or damaged output is withheld from saving and sharing. Follow the recovery message or render a new checked output from the retained recipe. Retrying a failed recovery save records the restriction; it does not prove that damaged output is healthy.

Keep an editable backup

Create private backup makes a .memorymag archive. Finish and save your edits first, read the contents disclosure, then save the checked archive somewhere you can access separately.

An editable backup contains private notes, full optimized source photos, masks, page structure, saved editing recipes and custom style presets. Photo areas outside the current crops and masks may be present. It is not encrypted by Memory Magazine.

In Settings, Restore an editable backup validates a compatible archive and lets you confirm the copies to restore. The copies receive fresh identities and go to Archive; existing magazines are not replaced. Purchase access is not transferred by a backup.

There is no built-in cloud sync. Keep an accessible editable backup before changing devices or removing the app. Files stored with iCloud Drive or another provider follow that provider's availability and account settings.

Recover unfinished work

Settings → Recovery & diagnostics lists retained creation, text and cutout drafts. Resume a matching draft or explicitly discard it. Unfinished provider selections may need to be selected again after relaunch; already owned imports are different from pending downloads.

A cutout draft cannot be applied to a missing or replaced source photo. A retained draft does not recreate a source you deleted. Review any mismatch or save error before deciding what to discard.

A raw recovery copy is different

Make recovery copy can preserve a private .memoryrecovery archive of library files and unfinished work. It can include private notes, uncropped and hidden source content, drafts, existing output files, database bytes and damaged or incomplete records.

Creating and checking this archive verifies its bytes, not whether its records can be restored. It does not repair the library and cannot be opened by Restore an editable backup. It is not encrypted. Creating it keeps a local copy; Check and save to Files is a separate, explicit action. Nothing is sent to support automatically.

Storage is full or the library cannot open

Make room on the device, keep your app data in place, and retry the reported operation. A recovery archive needs additional free space. Do not uninstall the app or delete source folders as a troubleshooting step if you still need the local work. Contact support with the visible error and a redacted diagnostic summary, if available.

Archive frees an active magazine slot without deleting its content. Trash retains work until you explicitly delete it permanently. Earlier export recipes, recovery drafts and completed private archives may retain earlier content separately. See the privacy page for deletion details.

Memory Magazine Pro

Free includes two active magazines and eight pages per magazine. Pro is one nonconsumable purchase for 50 active magazines, 40 pages per magazine, all three original styles and saving new custom style presets. Core editing, public export formats and editable backups are included in Free.

The intended U.S. price is US$29.99. The actual localized price shown by the App Store before purchase is the price to check.

Open Settings → Pro & purchases. If you previously purchased Pro, choose Restore purchases while using the App Store account that made the purchase. Restoring purchases restores access, not magazine files.

A canceled, pending or unverified purchase does not unlock Pro. If access changes later, existing work is preserved; new restricted actions require current access. If Apple cannot load the product or verify the purchase, check your App Store account and connection, then retry.

For an Apple purchase or refund request, visit Apple's Report a Problem service. Refund decisions are handled by Apple.

Contact support

Email almahmeed.dev@gmail.com. Include the app version, iOS version, the action you tried and the exact visible error. A screenshot or redacted diagnostic summary can help if you choose to share it.

Do not include personal photos, editable backups or raw recovery archives unless you choose to share their full contents and they are needed for your request. We do not receive your library automatically. Read our privacy policy for support-email and file-handling information.
