Take Studio — Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 17, 2026

Take Studio is developed by MubarakLab. This policy covers the Take Studio app and its information pages. You do not need a Take Studio account. The app has no advertising, analytics SDK or developer-operated service for receiving your projects.

Your projects stay on your device

Scripts, shot cards, recordings, imported video copies, edits, captions, presets and preferences are stored locally. Editing preserves original media. MubarakLab does not automatically receive your projects or upload them to an app backend. We do not sell project content or use it to train an AI service.

Take Studio does not provide automatic project cloud sync. Your device backup may include app data according to your Apple backup settings. System text input, device diagnostics and optional Apple analytics sharing follow your device settings and Apple's privacy policy.

Camera, microphone and Photos

The camera records video takes and the microphone records their sound when you allow access. You can import video without camera access, and record without sound by explicitly choosing that option. Photos and Files pickers provide the items you select; Take Studio copies imported media into its own project storage.

Saving a finished video to Photos requests add-only access. Declining it leaves Files and sharing available. You can change permissions in iPhone Settings. Recording prompts and controls are not part of the recorded or exported video.

Optional on-device transcription

Manual captions work without speech models. Optional automatic transcription processes selected audio on your device when the hardware, language and Apple model are supported. You choose whether to download a needed model from Apple. There is no cloud transcription fallback or external paid inference service. Review automatic captions before applying them.

Sharing and editable backups

You choose where to save or share finished videos and project backups. Your chosen Photos, Files, cloud-storage or sharing provider controls its copy under its own policies. New rendered exports do not copy source location metadata, but a video may still reveal information visible or audible in its content.

A .takestudio backup contains the editable project and owned originals, including metadata retained in original files. The archive itself is not encrypted or password-protected. Choose its destination and recipients carefully. Finished exported videos are saved separately from project backups.

Purchases

Apple processes subscriptions and restoration through the App Store and StoreKit. Take Studio reads verified purchase information, including product identifiers, subscription validity, expiration and revocation, to determine Pro access. We do not receive your payment-card details or Apple Account password. Apple handles transaction records under its own policies.

A subscription ending does not delete your projects or remove access to existing edits, exports or backups. It limits new Pro operations, such as creating additional active projects.

Retention, deletion and your choices

Projects and takes in Trash retain their originals until you permanently delete them. Archiving organizes a project and does not remove its media. Clearing cache removes regenerable data, not originals. Use the app's storage and deletion controls to manage local work.

Deleting the app removes its local work unless you have a separate recoverable backup. Deletion in Take Studio cannot erase copies already saved to Photos, Files, device backups or other destinations. Manage those copies separately. Removing the app does not cancel an Apple subscription. We cannot restore a project from a Take Studio server because there is no server-side project copy.
