Contact support
Email almahmeed.dev@gmail.com.
Tell us what you were doing, what happened and what you expected. If useful, include your RoomFit version and iOS version. Please leave out personal room details, photos and backups unless you choose to share them for the issue.
In the app, open Settings → Help and privacy → Prepare a support draft. You can review the text and optionally include app and iOS versions before copying or sharing it. Nothing is sent automatically.
The email link opens your mail app. You can also copy the address into your preferred email service. How support messages are handled.
Start with a measured room
- Create a project and enter the usable interior dimensions of a rectangle or L-shaped room. Keep estimates marked as estimates.
- Add furniture with the dimensions you want to compare. Place or rotate it on the plan, or use Furniture positions to enter coordinates and angles.
- Review the 2D checks, then enter prices and quantities in the budget. Missing costs remain unknown.
- Create an alternative to try another arrangement. Review an export before saving or sharing it.
Before buying: verify real measurements, access routes, assembly space and final retailer charges. RoomFit’s 2D findings depend on your entries and do not guarantee physical fit.
Common questions
Can I plan without dragging furniture?
Yes. Open Furniture positions in Plan and choose an item to edit its X/Y center coordinates and rotation, nudge, lock, duplicate or remove it. Room dimensions, openings and budget values also have numeric controls.
Use Drawing options → Measured walls and openings for the plan’s wall and opening information as text. The app uses your iPhone’s text-size and accessibility settings.
Why are some costs still unknown?
A missing price or adjustment is unknown, not zero. Enter the missing values to complete the estimate. Planned, already-owned, purchased and placed quantities are separate: purchasing an item keeps it in the plan cost, and removing a placement does not change the quantity you plan to buy.
RoomFit uses prices you enter. It does not fetch live retailer prices or place furniture orders.
Why did editing an item leave another alternative unchanged?
Each alternative keeps its own item details, quantities and prices. Catalog edits affect future additions; they do not silently replace existing alternatives. Open the item within the alternative you want to change and review the updated dimensions and findings there.
How do Photos and Files imports work?
Choose the still images you want to import using Photos or Files. A cloud-backed item may need an internet connection while it downloads. After a successful import, RoomFit keeps an optimized copy in its own local library.
Photos are visual references. They do not supply measurements. Source image metadata is normalized, but people, addresses and other details visible in the picture remain visible.
What is the difference between an export and a backup?
A PDF, PNG or shopping CSV is a planning output from a saved snapshot. It is not an editable project backup. Canvas zoom does not change the PDF’s printed scale; print at 100% when using the stated scale.
Use Settings → Backup and restore for an editable .roomfit backup. It includes the selected projects’ private notes and owned photos. The file is not encrypted; anyone with access to it may read its contents.
Creating a backup also creates a local file in Files → On My iPhone → RoomFit → Backups. Cancelling Save or Share keeps that local file. Complete a save to another destination if you want a separate copy.
Restore validates the package and adds projects with fresh identifiers to Archived. It does not overwrite existing projects or restore Pro purchases.
How do I free space or remove a project?
Settings → Storage shows local storage usage and can clear verified temporary duplicates. Export history lets you remove retained generated output files.
Archiving frees active-project capacity, not disk space. Trash has no automatic expiry. Permanently delete a project from Projects → Trash when you no longer need it. Shared image assets or retained export snapshots may still use storage.
Local deletion cannot remove a backup saved elsewhere or recall something you shared. You manage those copies in their destinations.
What should I do after a save or recovery error?
Keep the draft open and follow the visible Retry or recovery action. If the device is low on space, free space before trying again. Do not uninstall the app to troubleshoot a library you still need; first preserve a backup or the offered recovery copy.
A recovery copy can contain private data and is not necessarily a restorable project backup. Keep the original library and any failed backup while you contact support. Include the error text, but review any screenshot or file before sharing it.
How do I unlock or restore RoomFit Pro?
Open Settings → One-time Pro unlock. Pro is one nonconsumable purchase for up to 50 active projects, 10 alternatives per project and saving custom furniture and palette presets. The purchase screen displays the App Store’s current localized price.
Free includes one active project, two alternatives and the core planning, export and backup tools. Existing work remains available if your entitlement changes.
If you already purchased Pro, choose Restore purchases using the same Apple Account. Use Reload purchase details if the product is unavailable. Apple’s in-app purchase restore guide has more troubleshooting steps.
Restoring a purchase does not restore room projects. Use an editable backup for those.
Help stays with the app
Open Settings → Help and privacy for searchable offline guides to measurements, quantities, imports, exports and recovery. Selected cloud imports, purchases, external links and sharing services may need a connection.
