ProofBook — Privacy Policy

Content revised: September 25, 2026

Job photos. Clear reports. Native on iPhone.

ProofBook is developed by Mubarak Almahmeed, through MubarakLab. This policy describes how ProofBook handles local documents, purchases and optional support correspondence, and the external services you may choose to use.

Local job records

The app stores jobs, photographs it has acquired, edit recipes, captions, checklist answers, findings, private notes, branding, report PDFs and optional acknowledgment records in its local library. It has no ProofBook account, developer-operated document backend, advertising or automatic analytics.

Optional text recognition uses Apple Vision on the already redacted visible image, on device. Suggestions become report text only when you choose to insert them. There is no paid AI or cloud OCR service.

Reports and private originals

Generated public reports use sanitized image renditions and selected public fields. Private notes and source originals are excluded. Original photographs remain private in the app for nondestructive editing and can retain source metadata. Source-reported dates are unverified and excluded from report content unless deliberately selected.

Opaque redactions remove covered pixels from generated report images. Editable backups and any deliberate original-file export contain private originals that may reveal those covered details. Backups include private notes and are not encrypted or password-protected by ProofBook.

Permissions, providers and sharing

Camera access is requested when you choose capture. The system Photos picker and Files picker provide selected imports. Cloud-backed providers may download a selected file before the app owns an offline copy.

You control report sharing and backup destinations. Device backups, Photos/Files providers, printing and selected sharing apps may use outside services under their own settings and privacy policies. Local storage does not mean data cannot leave your device.

Apple purchases

Apple handles purchase processing and subscription records. ProofBook uses verified StoreKit transaction and subscription information to determine current Pro eligibility. Purchase records are separate from your job documents and excluded from editable backups. A backup cannot grant Pro. Mubarak Almahmeed does not receive payment card details through the app.

Support email

If you email almahmeed.dev@gmail.com, your sender address, message and any attachments you choose to send are processed by the email services involved, including Gmail. The app does not automatically send or attach job material.

Mubarak Almahmeed uses ProofBook support correspondence only to answer your request. It is not shared with anyone beyond the email provider and is not used for advertising, marketing or analytics. This mailbox is also used for other work; ProofBook support messages are not used for that other work.

Provide only the details needed for support. Support correspondence is kept until Mubarak Almahmeed deletes it or the sender requests deletion. To request deletion or ask about retained correspondence, contact the same address.

Retention and deletion

Jobs and durable report artifacts stay in the library until you choose to remove them. Archive does not delete files. Trash has no automatic expiry, and permanent deletion is a separate confirmed action. Local deletion cannot remove external backups or reports already shared. There is no app account to delete.

Changes and contact

Changes will be described in an updated version of this page. For questions or support-data requests, email almahmeed.dev@gmail.com.
